Work out with the Director!

Dear Prospective Participant,

We would like to offer you a unique opportunity and experience here @ Telford YMCA.  On August 1, 2008 The Telford YMCA Director’s Invitation To Get Fit Challenge will begin.  The Invitation includes:  A free membership for 2 months with complete facility access; professional certified staff that will help you identify and meet your goals; and work out with The Director!  You and I will participate together in the Director’s Class.   The class will be offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:00am for 8 weeks.  In order for you to maintain the 2 month free membership you must participate in the class at least 2 times per week.  The focus of this class will be to change your lifestyle so you can have a lifetime of health and fitness.  We will strengthen our mind, body and spirit with this holistic, fun and supportive approach to healthy living.  The face to face contact will provide participants with the necessary tools to accomplish their goals in health and fitness.  Participants must be willing to take part in an initial and final health evaluation/assessment. Free limited childcare will be available for participants that need it.

We are targeting individuals who have suffered an injury and are now rehabilitated and looking to get fit.  Only 7 individuals will be chosen for this program.   If you are interested please fill out the application provided and return to the member services desk located in the front lobby of Telford YMCA.  If chosen for this invite there will be a more in depth introduction once we begin.  Thanks and good luck to all!

Sincerely,

Executive Director

Website Under Development

We are currently in the process of redesigning and updating our website.   Please be patient while we change over to our new system.

News

Everyone at Telford YMCA appreciates your loyal membership and for making us a part of your life.  Now it’s time for us to fit into your life’s schedule.  Beginning March 12th, we will be updating your YMCA membership and issuing new key-ring cards, pictured below!  While being a way for us to say “thank you” for your membership, we will also be updating our files to a new computer system to better serve your future needs.  The new system will provide more security for all our members and guests; you must have a card to enter!  To prepare the new card for you, we will ask for updated telephone numbers, addresses, verification of your birth date, membership category, and any other changes.

Are you interested in learning about new programs and services at the YMCA via e-mail?  Just give us your e-mail address and we will add you to our e-news address list!

Finally, we will take a new photograph that will show up on our computer screens when you scan in.  (Used strictly for internal security only!)  The entire process will take little more than five minutes.  The good news: you will get your new card right then!  If you would like to manage your time even more, you can download Information Update Form, print it, fill it out, and bring it in next time you come to the YMCA.  That way, all we will need to do is take your picture and give you the new card.

Look for special member events at the branch in the coming weeks, as well.  We want to use this time for us all to get to know each other even better!

P.S. WITH ALL OF THESE CHANGES, we will begin offering on-line registration for some of your favorite classes.  Plus, in addition to looking at your group exercise class schedule, you will also be able to download and print it!  You have made us a part of your life; now it is our turn to fit into your life’s schedule.
